 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT SPRING RUNOFF UPDATE (5.22.08) Emergency Management officials say minor flooding is imminent with warming temperatures increasing the pace of Spring Runoff in Castle Creek, Maroon Creek, Roaring Fork, Frying Pan and Crystal river valleys. Irrigation ditches, private ponds and reservoirs are also a concern. Residents should call 911 with flooding emergencies. Flood preparedness information is available online at www.aspenpitkinemergency.com. Information is also available on the Flood Preparedness Hotline: 429-1800. A "How to Sandbag" DVD is available on request at 920-5234. In case of emergency, citizens will be notified with the reverse 911 system or in person.
